Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and life (1 Cor. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:16–21).
The Trinity
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:13–17; 28:19; 1 John 5:7).
God The Father
We believe the Father is eternal, Creator of all, perfect in wisdom, power, and holiness (Luke 3:22; John 4:24; 1 Tim. 1:17).
Jesus Christ, the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God—born of a virgin, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily, and is the only Savior and mediator (Matt. 1:23–25; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Rom. 8:3; Col. 1:15–19; 1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 1:6).
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God, active in creation, convicting of sin, giving new birth, baptizing believers into the body of Christ, indwelling, sealing, teaching, guiding, empowering, and helping every believer (Gen. 1:1–3; John 3:3–6; 14:26; 16:8–13; Acts 5:3–4; Rom. 8:9, 26–27; 1 Cor. 2:10–14; 6:19–20; 12:13; Eph. 1:13–14; Gal. 5:22–23).
Humanity
We believe that man was created in the likeness and image of God, but through the sin of Adam, fell from this sinless state, is born with a depraved nature, and is alienated from God (Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:6; Rom. 3:23).
Salvation
We believe man is justified by faith in the shed blood of Christ (Rom. 5:1-19; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Heb. 9:22; 1 John 1:7); and that he is born again by grace through faith apart from works (Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:8-10).
Eternal Security
We believe that once made children of God by adoption and grace, we shall never cease to be His children to become children of the devil (John 5:24; 6:37-44; 10:27-29; Rom. 8:1-2, 28-30; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 1 John 2:19; Jude 24).
Satan
We believe Satan is real, the deceiver of mankind, and will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 12:9–10; 20:10).
Heaven & Hell
We believe Heaven is the eternal home of all believers, and Hell is the eternal punishment of all who die in unbelief. (Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 21:8).
Baptism & Communion
We believe that baptism by immersion is the only scriptural mode. We believe that baptism does not save, that it is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and testimony to the world of faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20); and our identification with Him (Rom. 6:1-5). We believe that communion (The Lord’s Supper) is a symbolic ordinance, picturing Christ’s body broken for our sin and His shed blood for our redemption. Communion is not a saving ordinance, but helps us remember His death and inspires us in looking forward to His coming (1 Cor. 11:23-24).
The Church
We believe the local organized church is a body of born-again, baptized believers, and
that Christ is the only head of the body, His Church (Col. 1:18).
The Second Coming
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly, gather His church, judge the world, and establish His kingdom. (John 14:3; Acts
1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 20).
